Early in her Hollywood career, Hurley met Hugh Grant in 1987 while working on Remando Al Viento. The duo dated for 13 years before calling it quits in 2000 and have been close friends ever since.

“He remains my best friend to this day, but … he really used to annoy me,” she said of their split on What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in 2015. “I love him, but he’s very annoying.”

After her high-profile romance with Grant came to a close, Hurley had a brief relationship with producer Steve Bing. She welcomed their son, Damian, in 2002. (Bing died by suicide in 2020.)

Despite her past romances, Hurley has only been married once to Indian heir Arun Nayar, but she got close to marriage a second time with ex-fiancé Shane Warne. Nonetheless, Hurley is unsure if she will ever get remarried.

“I’d definitely be open to the idea of being loved, loving someone, having someone fantastic in my life and sharing it,” she explained to Tatler magazine in February 2020. “I don’t know if marriage comes into that to be honest, because I’m not going to have more children, and I don’t need anyone to pay my bills or give me a roof over my head. But I would like someone for companionship, fun.”

The former couple met in 1987 on the set of Remando Al Viento. Eight years into their relationship, Grant made headlines after being caught with a prostitute. Though Hurley and Grant split in 2000 after 13 years together, the English actors have remained close friends. He is also the godfather to her only son.

It was rumored that Hurley had an affair with Leary in the early 2000s, but the Double Whammy costars have maintained that they are just friends. Like Grant, Leary is one of Hurley’s son’s six godfathers. (Leary has been married to Ann Leary since 1989.)

Years before Forstmann’s death in 2011, the billionaire businessman was briefly linked to Hurley in 2000. Neither party has publicly commented on the fling.

The former pair dated in the early 2000s for 18 months. They welcomed their son, Damian, in 2002 after their split. Though Bing initially denied being the father of Hurley’s son, a DNA test confirmed otherwise. When he died in June 2020, Hurley said she was “saddened beyond belief.”

Hurley briefly dated the former NBA player in 2001 after splitting from Bing. A rep for Nash confirmed the relationship to Sports Illustrated at the time, saying: “They just vibed. The relationship is authentic.”

Hurley began dating the Indian heir in late 2002 and they tied the knot in two ceremonies held in 2007. Three years later, the Gossip Girl alum announced their split via Twitter. “For the record, my husband Arun and I separated a few months ago,” she wrote at the time. “Our close family & friends were aware of this.” Their divorce was finalized in 2011.

Hurley was linked to Warne in a cheating scandal before publicizing her split from Nayar. Three months after her divorce to Nayar was finalized, the Passenger 57 actress was engaged to Warne. They pair called it quits in 2013.

Hurley and Theroux sparked romance rumors in 2019 after attending several events together in Morocco. However, the English businesswoman shut down all speculation that the pair were an item. “They’re definitely not true,” she exclusively told Us of the rumors. “We did a job together, and he’s a very nice chap, but they’re definitely not true.”

Hurley seemingly confirmed her relationship with the country singer in April 2025 in a photo from joint Easter celebrations. In the social media pic, Cyrus kissed Hurley’s cheek while visiting a farm.
